This is not universal. The alignment is off center for my Ryobi trimmer and the edger attachment is on an angle.. Yes – I tried all the hole alignments. Hard to believe that this would not align with one of the popular name brands. I am guessing this was reconditioned because it is a factory error and no one thinks to check that it is mis-aligned. Someone else will get this as a reconditioned unit in a few weeks, would be my guess.
