The Conservation Committee of the campus developed and planted in the garden, where students, faculty and staff can also be used.
"It is sustainable, healthy and fresh," said Greg Schiavoni, assistant director of housing services and food.
Out in the garden, the flowers of dill turn on nasturtiums, eggplant and the tufts of short grass. The smell of herbs fills the air. The garden is home to rosemary, parsley, chives, thyme, cilantro, peppers and onions heritage.

Greg Schiavoni, the assistant director of housing and food services at the Penn State Harrisburg campus and Andrea Hoerner, member of the colleges Conservation Committee, stand in a new herb and vegetable garden on campus. The campus food court dries and freezes the herbs for use in dishes they serve and campus community members are welcome to take herbs and veggies in exchange for volunteering to help tend to the garden. The campus Conservation Committee developed and planted the garden, which students, professors and staff can also use.
