Based on information received as of June 13, the commissioners agreed that the land the county would be negatively impacted by the current proposed routes of Centerpoint. Currently, Centerpoint has examined the management of a transmission line from its station in Fayetteville in the county that would go through the land of Frelsburg south east through the Church Lane and again by New Ulm Road.
Commissioners approved a resolution opposing the proposed transmission line, saying the Colorado County landowners have always served as guardians of two of the greatest resources of the state, particularly its land and its history.
